What Terror Are We Imposing Upon Women And Children?

It seems western media is so successful in blanketing us all from the effects of remote warfare that you can go into so many conversations and find support for what NATO is perpetrating in Libya and around the world.

Such support it seems is being pumped out with bravado from a comfort zone, within which individuals think they will never have to experience the earth shattering bang of a bomb, or shrapnel tearing through their bedrooms in the middle of the night, hopefully missing their children. There is so much which can be written from the mind on this subject. I suggest just looking within for how it feels.

Well here I would like to draw attention to a report just published – an on the spot report in Tripoli by ex Congress Woman Cynthia Mckinney. Just read this fine woman’s first hand account of what she is seeing, hearing and smelling on the other end of NATO’s bombardments.

From Cynthia – “Women carrying young children ran out of the hotel. Others ran to wash the dust from their eyes. With sirens blaring, emergency vehicles made their way to the scene of the attack. Car alarms, set off by the repeated blasts, could be heard underneath the defiant chants of the people.”

“Whatever the military objectives of the attack (and I and many others question the military value of these attacks) the fact remains the air attack was launched a major city packed with hundreds of thousands of civilians.”
